    Today, I’m excited to share a new and adorable amigurumi pattern for a plush baby dragon! I discovered this charming little dragon on Instagram and couldn’t wait to share it with you. The pattern features a blue top made from cotton or a similar yarn, which gives the toy a soft and cuddly texture.

    • yarn (I used white, green and pink, but you can use whatever colour you like!)
    • a crochet hook that matches your yarn size
    • stuffing
    • felt/safety eyes/embroidery thread

    Tail and Body

    We will first start by making the tail and body! Sts in GREEN indicate a colour change for the belly.

    Add safety eyes between rnds 6-7 with 9 sts in between, counting over the top of the head.

    Stuff head and FO. Sew hole closed.

    Legs x 4:

    We will be making the dragons legs according to the dragon’s left and right side. The last rnd will be different for the left and right sides. Sts in GREEN indicate a colour change for the toes.
    Using white, make 4 legs:
    1. 6 sc in mr (6)
    2. (1 sc+ inc) x 3 (9)
    3. 2 sc, 3 mini bbl, 4 sc (9)
    4. 9 sc (9) (3 rnds)

    ITS LEFT SIDE X 2:

    5. 4 hdc, 5 sc (9)
    Stuff and FO. Leave a tail for sewing.

    ITS RIGHT SIDE X 2:

    Spikes:

    For the spikes, you can adjust the length of the ch according to your dragon. Just make sure it’s a multiple of 4.
    Using green,
    1. Ch 40 (40)
    2. (hdc, dc, ch 1, 2 slst) x 10 (40)
    FO and leave a long tail for sewing.

    Ears:

    Make 2: Using white,
    1. Ch 3 (3)
    2. In the second ch from the hook: hdc, dc (2)
    FO and leave a tail for sewing.

    Wings:

    Make 2:
    Using white,
    1. ch 9 (9)
    2. In the 2nd st from the hook: 2 hdc, 3 sc, 3 slst, ch 1 and turn work (8)
    3. FLO [2 slst, 4 sc,] turn work with no ch (6)
    4. BLO [2 hdc, 2 sc, 2 slst,] ch 1 and turn work (6)
    5. FLO [2 slst, 2 sc,] turn work with no ch (4)
    6. BLO [1 hdc, 2 sc, 1 slst,] (4)
    FO and leave a long tail for sewing.

    Assembly:

    1. attach the body to the head between rnds 6 – 10 of the head with bigger bbls on the bottom.
    2. attach the two front legs between rnds 19 – 23 of the body counting up from the tail about 2 sts apart. Make sure you are attaching the right leg on its and vice versa.
    2. attach the two back legs between rnds 13 – 15 of the body with about 4 sts in between. I sewed mine angled outward so that my dragon looks like it is sitting.
    3. sew on the ears on rnd 9 of the head counting up from the nose.
    4. attach the spikes starting on rnd 6 of the head along the back and down the tip of the tail.
    5. attach the wings on its back between rnds 16 – 20 of the body with about 3 sts in between.
