NOTE The snake is worked from bottom upwards. Cut a small circle of card to place at the bottom of R5. Embroider on the eyes 12/13 rows down from top of head with a gap of 7/8sts. Embroider on the mouth a row below the eyes approximately 4 sts wide. Stuff the body and head as you go.

FO and attach the tongue to the bottom of the mouth. Weave in any left over yarn.
Bow

R1 = Ch26, hdc in 2nd st from hook, hdc in each st along ch (24)
R2 = Ch1 turn, hdc in each st along ch (24)
R3 = Repeat the process in R2
FO to close leaving a extra long tail.
NOW – Sew together the two ends to create a circle. Flatten the bow with the joined ends in the middle and wrap the yarn around the middle to create the middle of the bow. Secure to the top of the snake.
