– White/off-white, orange, and brown yarn
– Brown felt
– Safety eyes
– Blush
– Crochet hook, tapestry needle, needle, scissors

Note: I used medium weight (4) yarn + 3.5 hook + size 6 safety eyes

Using white/off-white yarn, work in continuous rounds.
R1 : 6 sc in mr (6)
R2 : 6 inc (12)
R3 : [sc, inc] x 6 (18)

R5 : [3 sc, inc] x 6 (30)
R6-9 : 30 sc (30)
Attach eyes between R7 and R8, 5 stitches apart.
R10 : [2 sc, inc, 2 sc] x 6 (36)
R11-15: 36 sc (36)
R16 : [5 sc, inc] x 6 (42)
R17 : 42 sc (42)
R18 : BLO 42 sc (42)
We will add the fringe into the front loops of R18.
R19 : [FLO {hdc, dc, hdc} into same stitch, slst into next stitch] x 21
We will close off the body by working into the back loops of R19

Fringe

Attach white/off-white yarn into any of the front loops of RI8 of body with a slst.
FLO 3 dc into each stitch

Pumpkin Hat

Stem: Using brown yarn. 5 ch, sc into 2nd chain from hook, 3 sc.
Fasten off, leave long tail for sewing to top of hat.
Hat: Using orange yarn, work in continuous rounds.
R1 : 6 sc in mr (6)
R2 : 6 inc (12)
R3 : [sc, inc] x 6 (18)
R4 : [sc, inc, sc] x 6 (24)
R5 : [3 sc, inc] x 6 (30)
R6-7 : 30 sc (30)
R8 : [{sc, dc, sc} into same stitch, slst into next stitch] x I5 With orange yarn, embroider 6 lines on top of the hat (see pic). Attach stem to top of hat (covering the hat’s RI).

Shoes

Using orange yarn, make 2.
R1 : 5 sc in mr (5)
R2 : 5 inc (10)
R3 : BLO 10 sc (10)
R4 : 3 dec, 4 sc (7) The dec stitches should create a dome-ish part of the shoe – this will be our top part of the shoe.

Assembly

Nose: on R8, between the eyes. Mouth: with brown yarn, embroider a half smile. Shoes: attach between the two fringes.
Hat: glue/sew on top of head, or simply place it on! I like to place my hat a bit tipped back (see pic to left).
